Privacy policy

This site, https://thepipelinepodcast.com, is the home of Pipeline, a podcast owned by Scrappy ABM, LLC d/b/a Podcast 2 Pipeline ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What you give us

  • Newsletter signup: your first name, last name and email address.
  • Guest application: your name, email address, company, LinkedIn profile and your answers to our questions.
  • Guest booking form: your name, email address, role, company, LinkedIn profile, company website, anything you choose to tell us about your topic and business, and a record that you agreed to our guest release, with the version you agreed to and the time.

With each form we also record the page you sent it from, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed.

What we collect automatically

  • Usage: the pages you visit, the episodes you play and how far you listen or watch, and the links and buttons you click. We use analytics software for this, which stores an identifier in your browser. Once you submit a form, we may connect that activity to your email address.
  • Device information: your browser, device type, and approximate location worked out from your IP address.

Why we use it

  • To send you the newsletter you asked for.
  • To review guest applications, and to arrange, prepare for and publish recordings with guests.
  • To understand which episodes and pages are useful, and to improve the show and the site.
  • To keep the site and its forms secure and free of spam.

Who else is involved

We use trusted providers to run the site, and they handle data on our behalf:

  • Hosting and security: the site runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that form submissions come from people, not bots.
  • Media: episode audio streams from our podcast host. Videos are YouTube embeds, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and load only when you press play.
  • Scheduling: on the guest booking page, a calendar service shows times and takes your booking.
  • Our business tools: the details you send through our forms go to the tools we use to run our business, such as our email platform and CRM.

We don't sell your personal information. We may share it if the law requires it, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business.

How long we keep it

We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe. We keep guest details while we're working with you, and afterwards for as long as we need them for the show's records. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Your choices and rights

  • Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Write to joseph@podcast2pipeline.com.
  • You can block or clear cookies and site storage in your browser. The site still works without them.

Depending on where you live, for example the EU, the UK or California, you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data protection authority. We will respond to any request within the time the law allows.

Some of our providers are in the United States and may handle your information there.

Children

The site and the show are for professionals. They aren't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page. The date at the bottom shows when it last changed.
